The Curacao Marine Biology Research facility at Westpunt, Curacao, sponsored by the University Of Hawaii and Scripps Oceanography of California is taking shape with a mobile container lab of NIOZ at Texel, The Netherlands.

On Thursday, 12 April 2007, JGD and Loes Westermann, welcomed by a very enthousiastic NIOZ staff, visited NIOZ offices and laboratories at Texel, The Netherlands.

Stuart Sandin ( Scripps) and Forrest Rohwer ( SFDSU)   will join Mark Vermeij ( UH)  visiting Curacao next month paving the road for  the Marine Biology Reseach Center at   Kura Hulanda Lodge, Westpun, Curacao
