Dear Mr. Gelt Dekker,

My name is Francis O'Connor, I attend the International School Of Curacao, and I am 18 years old. First of all your speech was not in place here at the conference. If you are sick and tired, why not just leave then?

You claim that the government has something against you, I'm sure they'll be more than willing to help you sell your properties here, so they can get rid of you sooner! The fact that you insulted my island infront of a whole group of investors, I will never be able to forgive you. Investing $100 million in a country does not give one ANY privilages. Everyone is in my eye, equal.

However, Mr. Gelt Dekker, I was very pleased with what you have done to certain parts of this island, and I had an utmost respect for you, but now you have shown me that you are the same as those corrupt politicians.. or maybe even worse. nothing justifies what you have done.

If Holland weren't so drug infested, there wouldnt be 7,000 people shutling back and forth now right? Why dont you, attend a important conference in holland, and speak about, how the politicians in Holland know that the drugs used in their country is being smuggled from other poor country, while people with no money, have to risk their lives doing it, yet they don't do anything? Except ofcourse obligate Curacao to put a scanner at the airport, while they refused to have one in Holland, because it would hurt their economy. What about our economy? wouldnt that make a good speech? Or even, when you visit Key West or New York City, make a speech to critizise president Bush and the administration for the ongoing war in Iraq wich is causing fuel prices to grow.. or dont invest, because the USA still didnt sign the Kyoto protocol! I'm willing to bet all that I have that you will never do that... Now this is what I'm sick and tired about. When people pick on others, because they think they will get away with it. Big disgrace and a let down. I sure hope you read this, and maybe you could tell me what lead to this, and how your speech would help my island in anyway. Thank you for your time.

Regards,
Francis O'Connor

Dear Francis,

Thank you for your comments. I am happy that public awareness is so powerful. I received 230,000 reaction in one week.

The center of my speech was that public awareness and empowerment, not manipulation by the narco industry, determines our future, therefore investors should invest now. Please read the entire text en presentation on www.jacobgeltdekker.com .

The politicians and many on the island are very emotional because their soap bubbles of false pretense burst; If it only took an 18 minute speech, it must have been very powerful.

Note : It was the organization of the CHTIC who decided that such a speech was in place and in great demand for their conference.  They were right, part of the Western world picked it up. CHTIC are looking forward to do more such presentations  and asked me for next year.

You are an intelligent young person, please, do you really think that false representation can win over any investor???

Best regards,
Jacob
