Leaders of the 21st Century
is
the name of a series of short inspirational films. Children
from different parts of the world express their vision
of a sustainable future. They are
involved as 'stakeholders' in a way we would like to
involve our neighbours, employees and managers in the
themes we care about.
The 3
films Leadership, Teamwork and Dreams & Goals
ideally serve as an icebreaker for meetings, training
sessions, seminars, coaching sessions.
The
Greek philosopher Socrates was convinced that the
wisdom in our own experiences was hidden and we could
only discover it by using our own mind. The Socratic
conversational method allowed the children the space
to form and understand their own opinions based on their
own experiences.
The
interviews with the children were conducted in the
Netherlands, India, Brazil and the United States. A
pre-selection by country was made between urban and
rural children aged between 8 and 14 years. In each of
these groups, together over 100 children, interviews
were held with children from different segments of
society. About 14 of them
can now be seen in these short films on Leadership,
Dreams& Goals, Teamwork. The next film will be about
Values.
25% of the profits on the DVD set are donated to
children’s charities.
